OUR STORY
BUILDING THE TREE OF CHANGE

"When I go to Guinea, I find myself thinking that my country needs to move forward and the lives of young women and girls need to change.
Many of them approach me for advice or just to hangout.
Of course, as an artist, that's my life, but I want something greater for them.
I want them to see themselves like I see them, through their own eyes.
As beautiful young women.
Making change has been my goal since I was young, but now it was the time to plant "the tree of change."So I started listening.

I took many long walks, had meetings, sat on many panels, and and looked at
many organizations to try and understand.

All these questions bubbled up.

Why are young girls still so shy?
Why are they so scared to open up and come out of their shell (like when
I was a young girl) I was never shy but I needed a mentor, a guidance.

Why are these children selling water and candies on the street all day long?

I needed answers and knew it was time to help these young women overcome their challenges more efficiently, and become the best version of what they can be.

It was time to take action, it was time to take those children off the street and put them to school.

Ultimately I decided to outreach to them directly.

It was time for DIMEDI FOUNDATION to be born."
